I bought my own first car (77 Trans Am) & beat it like a red headed stepchild. no car deserved to be treated like that & definatly not a BMW tell your kid he can get wat he wants & split the cost with him if he has $2000.00 match him if he has $200.00 he only gets $200.00 & he will have to learn how to take care if his own junk. & take responsability for is own actions.
well thats what I will do with my daughter when she is old enuff.
or maybe she & I will restore a 77 Trans Am for me oh I meen her
I went car shopping with my 16 year old son today. Of course he was drawn to all the rice rockets but then we came to a 1990 525i and he loved it. It's a red 5-speed with a straight body for $6990. What do you all think about these cars for as a "first car?" I know how safe they are and even though the 525i isn't going to win any drag races it does have good mid-range powwer.
