Look in front of your rear tire...in the suspension. They look like little 4 inch "dog bones". I believe they help in locating the rear tracking / suspension. You can see them in Bentley's in picture 14 in section 330-9.

There are rubber bushings on each end...check to see if they are cracked or otherwise distorted. If so, you may want to replace them. A good frame/alignment shop can help you for sure.

I replaced mine and lost some of the 'rear steering' effect as I changed lanes in rutted freeways.
