you mention "it" was replaced 5Kkm ago - what was replaced? Engine? Check engine light? Computer?

There is a test to see what engine codes are stored in the computer - turn the key to the on (engine on/not running, do not start) position and immediately press the accelerator pedal to the floor 5 times in quick succession, within 5 seconds of turning the key on. After successfully completing that task, the check engine light will begin to flash out some 4 digit codes that will tell you what problems the computer sees. For example, 1-2-2-1 is a code for problems with the O2 sensor.

There is a more or less complete listing of the codes in the Bentley book.

Hi all,
Has this ever happened to you? My check engine light
comes on sporatically. Sometimes its on, sometime its off.
Its been doing this for the last week or so and its driving me nuts. Just want to see if this is a common occurance
with some of u guys. BTW, just had it replaced 5000km ago.
Thanks in advance for any comments or advice.
