A very good condition BMW 530i 1994 with the updated Alusil engine block properly maintained with service up to date with approx. 50k-80k miles and many parts replaced will cost you $15k-$17k.. A Toyota Camry LE will be at least $28k after tax and title.. Let's say you spend $3k upfront to make the BMW perfect and new, and spend $1500 a year on proper maintenance, after 4 years you've still spent $26k max not to mention a 530i BMW has already taken most of its hit on depreciation..

A new car will depreciate 10% the minute you drive it out the showroom floor, not to mention any new car depreciates the most the first 3 years.. Plus there is no gaurantee that any new car will not have its problems and be a lemon..

The question is,,, do YOU have the patience to find the right car, meet a good mechanic who will properly maintain your BMW?? and have the patience when little things go wrong taking the time to get things fixed??

Hi all,
I would like to ask your all opinions about to BMW 530i - 1994. Now, I don't know I should buy old BMW 530i - 1994 or a brand new Toyota Camry LE - 2002. I love BMW so much. But I cannot afford it. So which car do you prefer to? Please give me some advices to which car you prefer to? and why to decide to choose it?

Thank you very much.
Have a nice day to all.
Ton
