Your drain plug may take a 10mm bit -- my '90 535i did. Get underneath to figure out which one you need before you start.

If you don't have some sort of oiler that can squirt fluid into the fill opening, get some flexible plastic tubing, and run it out through one of the wheel wells. Attach the tubing to a funnel, and pour the new stuff in.

There's a drain plug and a fill plug - one on the passenger's side and one at the rear, I forget which is which. You will need a 14mm allen bit to remove them, they can be hard to come by. Make sure you can get the FILL plug out before you drain the fluid. IIRC, it takes 1.2 or 1.3 qts to refill. Clean around both holes before opening to minimize dirt getting into the pumpkin. The car should be level for the refill.

I haven't heard any of you guys talking about this on the board, so I am not sure of the procedures or where to even check? I was reading the things to do for inspection 2 on Bruno's site and I read that there, but didn't find any info about replacing it, can someone shed some light on this?
