I got an used BMW 530i - 1994 a few months ago. I found out that this BMW 5-series (E34) has a Nisakil problem with a short block. How do I know my car that are replaced with a new short block or not? Please give me some advices how to check it out!
Thank you very much.
Have a nice day.

thomas, you can call bmw dealer to see if the have a record of the service being preformed...you also can look at wallof the 3rd cylinder passanger side and read the block #...go to the 530 link and compare with that list...do not take the dealer's word on what block you have as the service bulletin they have has a typo on it...if you want jump over to the 7 board and you can read about ny little problem...do you have the shakes and what is the millage on the car also where did the car spend most of it's life...good luck ...m
