And now for my $0.02, like it will do any good to change your mind: nitrous is bad. And yes, I do have experience with it. This spring I helped a close friend of mine drop a new motor into his Mustang Cobra (factory 302 block stroked to a 347, Rousch (sp?) stage 3 heads, massive Holley carburator, forged crank, Keith Black forged dome pistons, 12.5:1 compression, gargantuan cam, etc etc etc) with a 3-stage adjustable shot of nitrous, peaking out at 250. Car was dyno tested @ 450 horsepower to the ground with nitrous disabled. Anyway, the point is...he is an ASE/ANSA certified mechanic, hence he knows what he is doing. Only used his nitrous maybe one day a week at the dragstrip, rest of the time didn't use it at all...and two months later, he's having to do it all again, due to a shattered crank. Did he learn his lesson? Yes...he's putting on a Paxton supercharger this time, and staying the hell away from the juice. The sudden temp changes that nitrous introduce into an engine (extremely cold when injected, extremely hot when combusted) severely affect the integrity of many critical parts, EVEN IF THEY ARE FORGED. So that's my $0.02...go ahead and do it if you want, but I don't think anyone on this board wants to hear you whine when you blow your motor.
