Like the Thule parts, my Yakima parts do not show up in the book as a fit for the 525iT. You have chosen the correct Thule parts, but you will have to do some amount of filing to make them fit. You will have to file the slide nuts a little so they will drop into the channel, and you will have to file the foot base a little bit so that it will seat smoothly on the rail. MartyS also has mounted the Thule parts, and I think he used a plastic shim under the foot to get around the fitment problem. Marty has a bike shop up near Cleveland and can sell you the parts as well as give you advice on fitment (www.martyscycle.com).

So with a bit of work, they do fit, it just sounds like the salesperson is trying to avoid the inconvenience of a return.

Has anyone tried to install a Thule model 430 "Tracker" tower in the factory rails on the 525iT. From the pictures I've seen, it should attach right into the track with a TK1 fit kit attachment .... but the bike shop salesperson I was talking to was adamant that it would not fit (it wasn't showing up as a fit in the book) and that he couldn't/wouldn't even sell it to me. Just wondering if anyone knows why.
Thanks
