he doesn't have eml.

and just optionally populate the cluster depending on the configuration of the car.
I don't have ASC either.
I wonder what I'm missing?

I recently purchased a 1991 525i and have just one question in the back of my head. Do I have ASC or not? I checked the manual and I noticed that I have no switch for it where it is suposed to be, this naturally seemed to say that I didn't have it. However, right smack in beween the tach and the speedometer is a small ASC symbol that is never lit up. If I don't have ASC, why is there a symbol for it on the instrument cluster? Maybe there is something I missed in the manual or maybe it's just BMW reminding the buyer that he din't fork out the dough for the ASC. Any help would be appreciated.
