approx. the same angle..I had trouble with the bosch microedge blades and ended up using the bmw ones with no more chatter problems...I also have the original arms and adv.

Several questions about the wipers. Mine seem to be noisier than what I'm sure the engineers had in mind.

1) anyone replaced any bushings in the system? A look at ETK suggests there are several replacable bushings.

2) I have occasional problems with 'judder' in the blades. TIS suggests checking & setting the wiper arm angle (to precisely 84 degrees if I recall). Anyone tried this? Looks like the BMW tool is < $5...

3) Seems like where the arms grab the rubber blades is loose - you know, that little crip U joint that spans the top. Or at least, looser than one might think is needed leading to a pretty good "flop" sound as the blade flips as the wiper arm changes direction. Think it would be worth while to replace the arms themselves? Lord knows what BMW wants for them!

Oh yes, the arm nuts are tight. Still have the original arms (not the newer thinner variety).

Car's a 90 with no ADV. Up here in the Seattle area, dem wipers be berry berry impor-tent!

Thanks for any all suggestions!
