SC was first available as an option on the E34 535i in 1991 in the US. At that time it operated on the engine management system and throttle only; no braking as in ASC+T. You could get it with LSD differential, though. 750iL had ASC earlier and the 850i was the first US car to get ASC+T as an option (over just ASC) in '91 when it was standard on the 750iL. I honestly don't
remember any US 535i's having the ASC+T available, but there were so few of them sold in '93, I may have missed it. Of course it was available on all 6 and 8 cyl models from '94 until it became a standard feature on all US BMWs.
