"Sorry... I first got the idea from some web page somewhere...
In a nut shell, you go to a junk yard and find a trashed tail light. Lift
the bottom contacts out of two of the lights. Now open up your tail lights
and add the contact to the un-used rear fog position. solder a wire from the
new contact to the existing brake contact. Re-assemble the light bars, add
bulbs, remove the little plastic bits in the reflectors and there you go.
I was going to add a relay to run the extra lights, but I looked at the
wiring and the innards of the check relay and felt comfortable going
without.
I am still waiting for the stock 7.5A fuse for the tailights to pop. I am
over the throretical max by 4 watts. I have a 10A ready for replacement.
