I went out to the car with the intention of spraying stuff with WD-40. I started it (pre-spray) and idle sits @ 750 / 800 rock steady perfect. Sounds like it may be temp related if high idle happens again.

Also, I looked up under the dash to make sure nothing was holding the pedal down (or the floor mat). Nothing was, but while I was down there I saw a 2" high stop on the floor under the gas pedal, and being the curious cat that I am, I pushed it down (like a switch of some sort). TranService warning lite up on computer read out.

Hoping this means something to somebody and that someone can help.

I'm bummed,

Michael

Well great, just when I thought I could make some improvements to the car something unexpected jumps out to bite me.

Car started and ran fine then 1/2 hour into my commute the idle jump WAY up. At a stop light with car in drive it had a reading of 1300 rock steady. BUT if I shifted up to neutral or park WHAM -2500 RPM! You can imagine what the tranny sounded like when I shifted back to drive. It is time for inspection II but nothing else was needed or known to be wrong.

Please help,

Michael (headlights on hold)
