is making sure the allen wrench you use is short enough to get in there. I cut one off to make a short bit and use a wrench on it. For the oil I would use mobil one synthetic if you can't get redline on short notice.


I am going to replace the diff oil this weekend in my 89 525i. The process looks simple. Are their any snags that I should look for or parts that should be replaced - like the drain plug, washers, etc? Can anyone recommend a quality diff oil?
