1.) Disconnect the Neg. terminal of the battery and wait for about 15 minutes. I usually dont wait more than a few minutes, but they say that when you go to unplug the airbag, it could deploy if you dont allow sufficient time for the circuitry to discharge.
2.) disassemble the bottom firewall and dash cover from driver side.
2.) unscrew the two Torx screws (using a socket bit)located behind the steering wheel base.
3.) unplug the two wires you see going back to the dash.
4.) Pull the assembly from the steering wheel.
5.) As usual use common sense to get to what you need to in order to get the component out. Dont forget to install everything when you are closing up.

Install in reverse.
