There is a part called the water control valve. (or pretty damn close to that) It is located under the plastic cover next to fuse box and behind the positive lead for the battery. Right up against the fire wall. It is a straight remove and replace affair. You will need to look at part pretty closely before ordering it. There are apparently two styles of this part depending on your production date. I think the part goes for around $65.


I have a 535i and Im having problems with the Interior heating.

All I can get to come out of the floor vents is hot air, even if I turn the driver and passenger temp dials to cool. The middle vents put out cool air but they have their own temp dial.

I have looked through the Archives and all I can come up with is a possible sensor valve that could be stuck, possible ?

Anyone know how I can fix this, and is it going to be costly ?
