Probably slight rotor warpage. Mine are relatively new and no problems on my normal 130 to 70 decels. I run ATE's that are cross drilled, because I do live in Germany (near Trier, Stacy) and I do run 120~130+ a lot. Problem is here is you'll be in the left lane of the 'bahn when some bozo in a Ford Escort decides he's going to try to pass the trucks in the right and middle lanes and changes lanes right in front of you. They get back over, you accelerate back to cruise and the next bozo does it again. Repeat cycle until brakes are a useless heap of molten metal. The cross drills seem to hold up to this better, as for longevity, I can't say, I've only had them on the car for a year.
