You can do the clutch yourself and save yourself the money and do a better job. Gary Derian recently spent the extra time to lap the disc to the shaft and other things and his M5 clutch is like a Honda clutch and the shifts are smooth.
Good time to get seals and shifter linkage parts.
Am picking up my struts, control arms, brake rotors and pads, window switch, and auto dipping mirror tomorrow and am ready to install next week, the shimmy has gotten really bad so it was all happening just in time.
So today I'm at a stoplight and I push in the clutch and hear that oh-so familiar (from my E30) dry metalic sound of a shot "throwout bearing"? Thought the clutch had taken on a different "feel" the last few days. So now it is clutch/bearing time... oh woe is me!!!!!
At least it is going away for the winter and I will have time to save up the sheckles.
