STATS: I have a 1995 540i w/124,000 miles 60K miles on alusil block. The factory battery was replaced 3 months ago. SYMPTOMS: After driving for 30-45 minutes and then resting for 30-45 minutes, the car doesn't crank over. This has happened once six months ago, once 3 months ago and twice within the past two months. When turning the key to the start position, I can hear the a "king" sound.. like the starter engaging the flywheel, but no cranking. After the second or third try the engine cranks over. HELP!! Could the starter be approaching it's last breath? Or is it an 02 sensor or even bad start position issue? Any insight is greatly appreciated! Neepu
