I finally found a 91 M5 after a year of looking in my area. It's listed in the Auto Trader and it's black on black with 44k on the odometer and he wants around 27k for it. The price seems right, for the low mileage, but just wanted to make sure. I've seen many on the board say to do mechanical checks or leakdowns at the dealer, but I'm wondering if private sellers usually allow you to do this without committing to buying the car. Comments? I really want this car, but I want to make sure that I don't end up with a big headache. Thanks all for any advice you guys can give.

if he does not allow this if you are seriuos to buy he may have something to hide, and ask for a car history when you are at his or your dealer
