We had this discussion in the E34 board yesterday. I was contending that some of the shots of the dials and wheels in the chase and the end did not look like M5s. Turns out they used several bimmers in this chase scene. 520 and 518 were used in the crash scenes. 2 of the intact bimmers were (yes they used 2) M5's.
