Just a quick reply to your reference towards my town. I live in the city of Charlottesville. Probably one of the, if not the, nicest small city in the entire country. I don't say that without ample documentation, we've been listed in numerous reputable magazines, Money, Forbes, Consumer Digest, Southern Living, etc. etc.. I do say this with pride given I've lived here for almost 20 years and have been on our City Planning Commission for the last 2 1/2 years. I would be happy to show any M5 enthusiast around my wonderful University town, give me a couple days heads up and I would love to show off my town and my car. I know this is off subject, but I did object to the somewhat derogatory comments I perceived. Charlottesville is stock full of German luxury cars. The surrounding county is the 2nd wealthiest in the country. I removed the M5 badges so to be a little less likely to be stolen. Our sophistication here isn't such that the thieves would know what a Dinan badge means and actually may be seen as a used car lots name. In my mind I have no problem being proud of my car and the way I've maintained it and in my humble opinion improved it a bit. In that vein, I felt it would only be the real enthusiast that would know what the heck a "Dinan" badge means anyway. I thoroughly enjoy being approached by real M5 enthusiast and talking about the car I love and the mods I've made to it. Sorry to ramble, I guess I'm board of all the court TV my wife is making me watch. Have a great weekend. Adios

Tim,

Your story of replacing the M5 badge with a DINAN badge was quite touching. I am curious as to how badly you were ripped off by DINAN now that they are BMW "approved." See...you could have been in stealth mode without spending all that money. It sounds like Zoeb is ahead of you on the DINAN points scale....I am glad he is getting his money's worth out of the badges.

It is nice to hear that you have "earned" qualified DINAN BMW status, but then again, most people in your town probably think DINAN is some used car dealer....whatever floats your boat my friend!

Remember....there is nothing like a Euro M5!

Enjoy....

I can't believe I'm taking 2 minutes of my life to respond again, sorry if this sounds like a flame. What I meant by fake ware's is simply the Dinan badge only comes from Dinan after a accumulation of 10 points on there buying scale. IE: you can't buy a badge from them for any price, they come free when you've purchased enough products from them to qualify as a "Dinan BMW" I have a "DINAN BMW" and proudly display the badge, have actually removed the "M5" badges to be more stealth, no one around here even knows what "Dinan" is.

I guess my point to you from my earlier message was this is a BB for M5 enthusiast and I don't believe any real enthusiast would put a FAKE(unearned) DINAN badge on their car and you'd be better off at a PINTO.COM BB. Ciao

My fake wares?
I actually sold the badge for 300 and i have another one...the offer for that badge is at $400 now.....
Dont belive me?...you want a picture of the badge?...you want a copy of the emails sent to me with offers?....why would i be lying about something like that?

-Zoeb
