As much as I love the idea of an M5 Touring, the S6 Avant although will be quite more money than a euro E34 3.8 M5 touring represents a better real world car to me, isn't that what wagons are all about??... quattro, newer design, stiffer chassis, warranty + maintenance, and 340HP..

As much interest as the M5 Touring spurs on this board, I'm curious to see who will fork over the $40k in change or so and actually buy one..

Dude, for that kind of overpriced dough, you could practically buy a brand new well equipped leftover 2000 528i sports wagon with sports-premium package for around $43k..
