Ridiska - As you know, BMWs get better with successive generations. Better means stiffer structure, usually higher handling limits, more power and torque, quieter, blah blah blah. Fun to drive is not necessarily part of this equation (especially since the cars get fatter and fatter), and styling is a matter of taste. The E34 is the most robust platform BMW has ever built (in the opinion of the service managers at four different dealerships in different states that I have spoken with), but obviously it still simply is an old car. Personally I don't like the E39's looks, and I much prefer the sound of the twin cam six over the roar of the V8. I couldn't give two shits who is faster - they are both much faster than my driving skills. If I am an idiot for wanting a euro M5 touring instead of dime a dozen E39 540i sport, that's fine. Although you seem to be having difficulty grasping the concept, one of the reasons that some of us aren't choosing E39s over the E34s is because we don't want them (I'd take one cheap though maybe)!

Anyway, it appears that you have been heavily abused as a child, a perhaps there is something stuck in your rear at this moment. Please leave this forum, or take the offending object out of your backside and calm down.
