Where do you find parts?? and how much more do parts on a 3.8 euro version cost in comparison to the U.S. 3.6 version? Seems, usual mailorder places, and parts distributors charge between 1/3 to 50% more for M5 parts say over a 525i.. Are you in THe U.S.? If so do you ever have problems with emissions and certification?? The cost and attention an M5 requires from what I seen is extremely exorbitant.. I havent driven an M5 since 1993 though, back then it was relatively new, so no one really complained of upkeep.. For these particular concerns, I would sacrifice all the pluses an M5 can deliver to pick a 528i sports wagon, although they're boring..
Drive a 3.8 Touring, then you'll know why a brand-new 528i Sport Wagon is no substitute.

Dude, for that kind of overpriced dough, you could practically buy a brand new well equipped leftover 2000 528i sports wagon with sports-premium package for around $43k..
