Hi Bill,

There are two bolts that hold the front of the rear seat to the body below it. Have a look at the front of the rear seat, they are easy to find.

Remove these two bolts, and then pull the seat up, then forward. Instalation is the reverse, its just a bit fiddly getting it lined up properly.

The battery in my '95 525i is dead. I want to attempt to replace it myself. I know that the battery is located beneath the rear passenger seats and I am wondering if removing the rear bench is easy? Is this the best and only way to get at the battery? If so, where are the releases or fasteners located? Thanks -
