One thing to consider is are you doing it for looks or for practicality? If the latter, then go with a new, high-quality film. It's more expensive, but the new non-dyed films don't fade, discolor, or bubble up over time. More importantly, they're FAR better at blocking IR (infra-red) rays which heat up the car's interior. The cheap, dyed films don't block IR as well and turn purple over time. Ask how I know.

I am thinking about tinting the Windows on my E34 M5. In my opinion, tint can have a nice effect on most cars, but have seen some tint jobs that change the cars entire appearance for the worst.

My question is, should I tint the windows? What shade of darkness (I thin their ranked 1 thru 5, 5 being limousine tint)? Tint only the rearview and rear passenger? What about the two front?

If anyone has a picture they could e-mail me of their E34, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks!

M
