Which holds value better? Stock M5 or Modified M5 (archive)

I'm trying to choose between a box stock '91 M5 and a highly modified '91 M5. Mod's are Dinan stage 3 suspension and brakes and 3.8 litre rebuild of stock 3.5 engine to 3.8 M5 engine specs with Dinan chip. Also '95 grille and hood. Cost is about the same for either.
Which will be better daily driver? Which will be easier to maintain? Which will hold value better? I need to make this decision right away so any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks, Joe S
