I am putting the parts together right now to convert my 5-speed '94 M5 to a 6-speed (from the '95 M5). At the same time I am installing a Quaife-equipped 3.45 diff, effectively giving me 10% shorter 1st-5th gears and about a 7% taller top gear (6th).

Granted it's a Euro 3.8, but with the mods I have so far (360hp on the dyno) plus a couple of other planned tricks, and the improved gearing, I expect to equal the performance of the E39 M5... in my station wagon. ;-)
