BMW NA says a E39 540i/stick is 0-60;6.0s. I believe a STOCK E34 ///M5 is 6.2s? Or there abouts from the factory published data. I know the E28 ///M5 is 0-60;6.7s(again, factory data). 1/4m, if the above is true, I'd put my money on the E39. Top speed, no comparisson, the E39 wins, much better Cd of 0.31. I want to say the E34 is 0.32 or 0.34. This assumes the the rev limiters are disabled on both cars. Also, the 6spd is a large advantage in the top speed run.
