You technically can use the 9" rears from the 850CSi, but the offset may limit you to a 255/40-17. Also, technically, the difference in offset is not good for your wheel bearings... whether 3mm makes much difference is a judgement call.

The '94 Euro M5 with Nurburgring package came with 9" rears with et22 offset. You can definitely mount 275/40-17 on those and there is no question about abnormal bearing wear as this wheel was designed for the E34.

1. Do you need an offset to install the the 17x9 throwing star wheels from the 850 CSI?

2. Does anyone have a pair of 17x9 throwing star wheels for sale?
