What sort of E34 to E28 wheel "adaptation" did you have to do?

All E34 wheels are 100% perfect fit for all E28s. Same bolt pattern, hub center, same or nearly same offset (depending on wheel). Also E34 tire sizes are excellent matches for all E28s.

Inquiring minds want to know!

Anyone seen or know of these? Contacted the local dealer, but they didn't know of them. Saw them in a magazine article about an 88 M5. It said the owner upgraded to 1993 M5 wheels (example in link below) which had neat badges with the M colors instead of the roundel.

I am posting this as a favor to my local BMW shop owner. I told him the quick and insiteful response I got for a problem I had adapting e34 wheels to my e28 and thought this might be a good way to gain a few points with him the next time he was figuring up my next bill!

Anyway the shop owner acquired an e34 M5 and is looking for, among other things, these M hubcap emblems.

Thanks,
Sam
