does anyone else hate the getrag 280 as much as me?

mine has bad synchros, shift forks, and the operating sleeves won't lock into first gear!!! my question is this... meteric mechanic makes a 265 conversion gearbox with similar gearing and longer overdrive. has/does anyone installed this gearbox or driven it for any amount of time? i don't really want to drop $4500.00 for another 280 because i think i will just end up right where i started a year and a half ago.

also, anyone know if the e39 m5 wheels will fit an e34?
