I live in Charlotte, NC, and when I first moved here 25 years ago I was astounded at the good condition of used cars down here. People in this area have too much money so they all have BMW's and MB's and others. My idea is to purchase cars (at auction with full dealers license) down here and carry them to somewhere (up north) where cars rust quickly (Cleveland) and sell them "retail" through a business partner. I'm thinking E32's and E34's but am open to suggestion. I purchased a "get your dealers license" kit for $80, went down to the DMV, and discovered the logistics of getting a license here in NC. It's not too hard, and I've found a landlord that is willing to work with me. Hell, my wife is'nt dead against the idea either. My job may be allowing me to work a "firemans shift" which permits 7 day off periods to do the buying and hauling. I'm not looking to have a partner or partners front me money or anything, I just feel a partner in another part of the country will help grease the wheels of success for all.
