For those of you who have or are planning on making the clutch stop in your E34, I found it to be a very easy and effective modification. Rob made a post prior about the parts he had gotten from Pep Boys, but since we don't have those in Washington state, I made on using other pieces. I actually went to a Fred Meyers in Lynnwood, and got parts from the their hardware department to make basically the same clutch stop, but with less parts. I don't have part numbers, but I will try my best to give you a description of what I made. I ended up using a black, plastic drawer handle that is made with a 1 1/2 long bolt already installed. It is flat black, has dots around the outer edge for grip, and worked out extremely well. Since the handle is plastic, it makes no noise whatsoever. The only other things I got were two nuts and a little ring that added resistance to the nuts, but I can't think of the name right know. I know this is about as vague of a description as you can get, but for the selection that Fred Meyers had, these knobs were maybe 1 of 4 available, so it shouldn't be too hard. Oh, and another thing, putting regular ATF back in instead of Redline MTL worked wonders for the smoothness of my shifting. I have a short shifter installed, and that alone made the shifting notchy enough, but the Redline just made mine worse.
