Help windows are rolling up without cause (archive)

I have a Euro Spec E34 M5 that I just changed batteries on. After putting in the new battery, the following conditions have occured.

The windows roll up whenever I turn the key to the off position.

The windows switched stay illuminated even after shutting off the car and all the interior lights.

Can somone help me.
