i am an e30 owner looking into getting an m5, i found a nice one with 52,000 miles 1990 euro model 3.6 liter with 350 hp , is this a good buy at 25,000.00 ? is this a rare model? is there anything that i can look for to differentiate the us model and the euro? thanks for any replies.

I am in Australia now and have a '91 M5 her. In standard form it gives 319 hp as in Europe. I have it chipped to give 360hp.

The later 3.8 - not dealer available in Australia but I have one in Luxembourg gives 340 hp. I can tell you that in Germany it is enough to often let me see 280kph on the speedo without any trouble.

If this car your are looking at has 350hp, check it for a chip. 350 is not a standard BMW output.
