Ultra stiff shifting/engagement (archive)

When I first got the car, I had no problems shifting whatsoever. I changed to Redline MTL for a little under 10K, after I started having gear clash from 3-2. I switched back to dino oil about 2K ago which solved the gear clash, now I just can't get the think into gear under hard acceleration. There have been times where I have needed to accelerate from on off ramp in traffic only to have to wait for the car to slowdown before it would finally fall into gear. I feel that I really have to push the thing into gear just to get it to engage. Could engine/tranny mounts have anything to do with this? I think they could stand to be replaced, city driving is annoying since the car doesn't really feel smooth. I mean smooth being that if I let off the gas, it feels like the engine settles really hard, and if I give it gas again, it feels like it jumps. I know the engine is torquey, but this feels like more than just engine. Any recommendations?!

TIA

152K and still running strong, just needs more effort!
