the little washers was only like an $80 repair including labor. Check the passenger side of the front of the engine for oil. This is a good indication these are leaking.


Get it checked. In the last year I had my tensioner washers replaced and my oil pan gasket ($400). I may have one more that I will check for this weekend. Kind of notorious for these leaks. The cambox gasket is another one and requires a new headgasket (I think).

My 1991 M5 has 102,000 miles on it. It runs great, but takes half a quart of Mobil 1 15W50 synthetic every ~2000 miles.

I noticed the aero pan under the engine is collecting oil, and it's fairly dirty down there. I'm getting drips on my garage floor, too

Do those that take oil show visible leaks like this, or should I be concerned?
