they told your that instead of telling you that they had no idea how to rebuild that particular gearbox! you need a 20 ton press to do it! check the detent balls and if that doesn't help, check with Jim Blanton, as my M5 is doing this same thing in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gears! the getrag 280 is the biggest piece of shit that bmw/getrag ever produced!!!! i hate this g-damn gearbox!!!!!!!!!!!
