From BMW somewhere around $14k, from a reputable tuner about $8-10k if you have a useable core ($4k minimum). Once you price the parts and go through the process you understand why it really cannot be done correctly for less than $6k even if you contribute much of the labor. Used engines with less than 80k miles seem to trade in the $6+ range.



Could any one tell me how much a rebuilt E34 M5 engine would cost. Can it be easily put in a 525i.
