Epa testing has nothing to do with the Drivetrain. There was nothing I could tell you because they already had done the DOT part of the work.......but I am glad you finally got it. I checked with DOT/EPA Personally but it took them a while to get back to me.



I got my 94 525ix wagon from the importers last month. I changed the headlamps and speedometer before I imported it. There was a problem with the EPA testing as it was 4 wheel drive, but BMW showed them that there is a switch on the transfer case to set it to 2 wheel drive.
They added the lights on the side of the bumper and a 3rd brake light. Cost $900 taxes and fees and $6050 for conversion. The car has 135000 kilos, I used injection cleaner and valve cleaners when I drove it in europe. JK tech in Baltimore did the conversion.
