Has your M5 been repainted? (archive)

I've looked at 3 M5's this week and all have had a full respray. All the vin#'s match. Is it just because these cars were abused and left to soak in the sun or is this normal? I realize that some of these cars are now ten years old. Mileage ranges from 54K to 117K. Just curious if I should pass on these beasts....
