I haven't been beat yet. I don't race light to light, as that is not what an M5 is about.There may be a few heavily leaned on domestics that can outrun it in a 1/4 mile, BUT I DON'T LIFT THERE. I remember when the Buick Grand Nationals came out, and there was a big stink in the Corvette community about getting beat by GNs. The Corvette engineering team said flatly "Any Corvette that gets beat by a GN didn't race long enough!" VERY few drivers are willing to go over 120 MPH on the street, something an M5 can do (with 30 MPH headroom) without effort. To beat virtually anything out there, just leave your foot down, and eventually the other guy will back off. Just make sure you have plenty of open road! Passing other cars with a 50 MPH closing rate FROM BEHIND is NOT COOL... :)
