that you guys have to resort to personal insults.. All I said is that 2nd 3rd owner cars should be treated with additional suspicion and caution when buying due to the fact that you're dealing with multiple previous owners, service records, the way a car has been treated is more easily misrepresented.. This is in no way saying you are dishonest or lack integrity.. YOU or STEVE may have maintained your cars properly.. That doesn't go to say the 1st or 2nd owner did NOT.. A premature failing transmission or head gasket leak because previous owners didnt Break in/ drive/maintain the cars properly probably won't show up immediately in a 28k mile car..

BTW- Who cares if you're a longtime BMW club member.. What does that tell me? That you pay $40 in dues once a year and get Roundel? I too am a longtime BMW owner from the late 80, I'm on my second one, BOTH bought new and I am the original owner or it was kept in the same family.

A 4,000 mile M5 Black/Black 1991 in my area was for sale that I looked at , and they were asking high $30's for the car.. They couldn't sell the car for 2 years and has been brokered at least at a 1/2 dozen dealers, and even Westchester BMW, a BMW NA owned dealership couldnt get rid of the car.. Which just totally refutes your argument that plenty of BMW members will shell out that kind of money for a pristine M5... Even my friend, another longtime BMW supporter, had trouble selling his 2nd owner 1995 M3 with only 60k miles.. and this car was absolutely perfect at a reasonable market value.. His family have been buying BMW's all NEW, since the E23's have been coming out... Do you think you're the only folks who know about these cars??

Kenny:

I also am a long time BMW CCA member and have bought my garage queens (both) from second owners!!

I am the third and proud owner of two exceptional vehicles.

1995 850CSi (18K miles) and
1993 M5 (36K miles)

Even my 1992 e30 325ic (108k) looks better than any 1999 e36 cab you will find anywhere.

I can and will tell you people are always making me offers on my cars as they know I find THE car and maintain it and care for it properly.

I am sure Steve in CO is the same type of individual. If you don't like what he has to offer, LOTS of BMW club members will pay high $30s for a mint M5.

Maybe you need to look for late model one owner Camrys at www.boringlosers.com
