be prepared to answer some really point blank questions or comments... Obviously flying out to CO. arranging a pre-purchase inspection is absolutely out of the question for me at this point.. This guy's true colors just appeared in my opinion..

My concern is I have my doubts that an E34 M5 will hold it's value as strongly as it has in the past 7 yrs.. People have been anticipating the E39 M5 for so long now... With prices on used E39 y2k M5's already going for the mid $60'sK, in a few years, the price of used E39 M5's will come uncomfortably close to garage queens like Steve's E34 M5, thus driving the price of E34's down..

As a future owner (probably next year) I have followed this discussion with more than mere interest and have been soaking up all this wonderful information for my purchase. There are some very good points to be made on both sides and I thank all for expanding my knowledge and I always seem to learn a little more in following these threads.

I'm a skeptic too, and before shelling out this kind of money I'm sure Steve would expect anyone to go through all the std pre-purchase inspections, etc. You all have to agree there is always a comfort zone that one has to attain when making this kind of purchase. It appears this is an exceptional car for someone, unfortunately not me.
