All Kenny said is his own personal opinion and you started using harsh words. Relax dude, stay cool before you write on the board.
I want to be as neutral as I could.
I believe that you are what you said but having a car owned by 3 previous enthusiasts doesn't guarantee that it is bulletproof. All you have is an oral explanation from it pervious owner (or owners, if you're lucky) that the car is in top notch. Technically speaking, if we were in a courtroom you are not qualified as a witness, right?
My own personal experience tells me that most of the prized cars I know does not change hands often. I am not talking about Ferraris here but Bimmers and Benzes.
Case #1
My uncle owned 90 (Yes, no typo here: he has ninety cars) from all models he could find on the street. Once he owned 130 cars in late 80's. He Bought them all brand new and only sold the lesser cars, usually he kept the Bimmers and Benzes. All the cars he bought are always special colors and interior, that goes even to a Toyota Corolla. He also made an agreement with our national dealer that no one in the country can have 'his' color at least for the next 12 months. He is a picky and cranky guy when it comes to Bimmers and Benzes. He sells his BMW's & MB when it reached 4 yrs or 2000 miles (He even kept a 1985 Civic with 800miles until late last year). Buyers of his used cars are usually his close friends and they drive his cars daily and crank up the miles but they seldom sell them either.
Case #2
My friend is a truly certified Bimmer nut. He owns 40 (Yes! forty) Bimmers. Including six E36-M3s, a couple of E30-M3s, E34M5s, so many E34 and E36 variants, an E39-M5, X5, you name it. He attended track days, modify his Bimmers, change wheels every month or so. etc. His cars are never sold in the market. Btw, ever seen a Bimmer deliberately cut in half? There's one in his garage.
Case #3
This time it is a Ferrari. My friend since Junior high has a father who collects cars. Back in 1985 he owns AMG-500SL, 500SEL, 735i-highline, 528i, etc. His prized possesion is a 512BB. The car was painted more than five times but it is still in the garage up until today.
I once bought a Bimmer that I love from new and after 5 years and 60,000 miles sold it to my mechanic. As far as I know he kept it in his garage mostly and added 3,000 miles in the last 5 years.
IMHO true enthusiasts are collectors, not traders. That is why to me it is unusal if a truly prized car changes hands so many times. It is common for 325s, 540s or 740s but not for M's, unless the previous owner(s) are just people with too much money and less fanatical with a Bimmer.
Just my opinion though.

Gee Kenny,
Thanks for the stupid unfounded allegation.
First, If you would have spent 5 minutes doing a search on the bimmer.org you would know that I am a 20 plus year BMW enthusiast and a outstanding member of the BMWCCA (member number 73499) for over 15 years, not some person who just goes about making accusations like you.
Second, if you ever owned a Garage Queen (really a specialty car) you would know it is not unusual at all for a car to change hands, especially low mileage cars, as the owner of over 23 low mileage cars in the last 7 years I can tell you yours is the first response to just flat out be wrong and posted without thought, content or research.
As far as price I am trying to get what I paid for it. I will consider all serious offers.
Sorry I needed to vent. Of all the things I take seriously it is my honest and integrity and to have someone shoot from the hip and make an accusation without any thought is irresponsible and just plain wrong!
I'm done.
Steve
