But that doesn't mean they're the right ones for an E34! The offset is different; E34 fronts are ET20, while E31 is ET13. The 7mm difference means that a tire won't rub on the strut tower, but it'll stick out 7 mm further than it should. Look at it this way: if BMW thought the offset difference didn't matter, then why would they go to all the trouble to manufacture two different parts?

The rears are also different; E34 9X17 is ET24 and E31 9X17 is ET22. The 2mm difference is negligible, IMO, but nonetheless there are again two different part numbers for the two different applications.

These are the Stock wheels from 850csi.

Front 17x8 = ET
Rear 17x9 = ET

They are currently on my E34 535i. Will sell for $1500.00 (No Tires)


Any issues with different offset on the E31 wheels vs the E34 wheels?


No issues at all. My car is lowered and I am running 235/45-17 255/40-17 tires. No rubbing or no modifications were required. They fill the wheel wells perfectly.
