Yes they will fit, but you will need to purchase hub-centric rings. The hub size on the e39 is larger than that of the e34. Tire Rack sells them for $3.00 each.

I like the rims that the new 540's have. Will a set of 540 sport rims fit on my 90 535i. What size are they, 17?
