Extend the steering coumn all of the way out, remove the two screws that hold it in, and remove it yourself. The cluster can be removed out the left side of the sttering wheel with the ignition unlocked, after removing the four plugs that connect the cluster. Open the cluster, change ALL of the bubls while you are in there, and then take to BMW to have them shut-off the SRS light, which only takes about 30-seconds, and should be done for free - no need to make an appointment for something this easy, just tell them what you did, and they should understand if they aren't trying to screw you over.
The lower left side of the instrument cluster, where the odometer is, does not light up. Is there a quick and easy fix for this other than the dealer?
Thanks
